Minor/temporary characters which have received names and/or made themselves notable in the parts of the plot they appear in. May or may not appear again in the future. If or when this page becomes unweildy, it will likely get split up into subpages, sorting characters by the storyline of their first appearance.

Mekiel

Race: 1/2 elf, 1/2 human
First apperance: January 4 2005
Appears in storylines:
- Intervention at White Sow

A boy of about 8-10 years, born and raised in the village of White Sow in Tragash, near the Grivjon border. His parents are both inactive mercenaries; his mother belonged to the mercenary company known as the Scarlet Gloves when she was active and his father was a Glass Warrior. Seems to be somewhat sheltered, but has received enough weapons training from one of the retired Glass Warriors in the village to take care of himself.

Tinsel

Race: Sleipnir pony (8-legged sentient mining pony)
First apperance: January 4 2005
Appears in storylines:
- Intervention at White Sow
- Interlude: The Game (represented by a gamepiece)

Tinsel is one of the more unique villagers in White Sow, being a small, palomino-colored mining pony capable of human speech and in possession of eight unnaturally swift legs. The best friend of Mekiel, he’s fond of mischief and unfortunately isn’t always capable of resisting the urge to show off, though among his good sides is a fairly healthy sense of responsibility and associated protectiveness when someone threatens Mekiel.

Most of the time.

Ronic

Race: ???
First apperance: June 9 2005
Appears in storylines:
- Intervention at White Sow
- Interlude: The Game (represented by a gamepiece)

Ronic is one of the villagers of White Sow, formerly member of the Grace’s Eyes mercenary company, a company united by their devotion to a deity so incomprehensible to man even Its followers usually avoid using even pronouns to refer to it. Interestingly, he also still bears the robes of the path he walked earlier in life, before becoming a hired sword.

What exactly Ronic is, is a mystery. While usually appearing as a (male) human, s/he also regularly appears as a vaguely deer-like creature with several sets of horns and a long, prehensile tail, and is in that shape female. By Ronic’s own words, on average s/he is “more of an it”. Arguably, her greatest strength in that shape is her seeming irresistibility to creatures even vaguely like her in shape. Among those she has been shown to have such an effect on are Sah’togar‘s pack llama, fellow villager Isaac, and Zvee.

Captain Rydric Tragash

Race: 1/2 elf, 1/2 human
First apperance: May 2 2005
Appears in storylines:
- Intervention at White Sow
- Strangleweed’s Contract

The nephew of Lord Markiel Tragash, Rydric was a close friend and confidante of the Lord’s deceased daughter Sevva. When the Lord finds out who her real murderer was, this leads to an unfortunate conflict of interests for Rydric, who for some reason seems to have developed an interest in Shadowrose which isn’t entirely motivated by curiosity about the man who stole his cousin’s heart. Unfortunately Rydric seems to have a greatly impaired sense of proportion.

Captain of the Tragash guard, mostly because he’s related to the Lord.

Deerfoot

Race: Cthava’thava faerie
First apperance: February 1 2010
Appears in storylines:
- Strangleweed’s Contract

Male prostitute who mostly does business in connection to The Smiling Boar tavern, Rydric Tragash being one of his regular customers. By his own claim, he may also dabble in assassination.

Strangleweed

Race: Human
First appearance: June 7 2010
Appears in storylines:
- Strangleweed’s Contract

Assassin working out of Avelyon at least some of the time. Known to have either more skill or far fewer scruples than both Guild assassins and Hooded Brothers, as he’s reputedly willing to take on work neither of them would touch.
